History
On these
pages you can read about how the Griffin Community Trust evolved from
small beginnings into the successful charity that it now is. On the
left you can select to read a leaflet published in 1998 that charts the
progression of the Griffin ideal from its inception in the minds of the
founders of the Griffin Community Trust into the bricks and mortar of
Griffin House.
2007 saw the 10th anniversary of the building of Griffin house, and
2008 is the 20th anniversary of the Griffin Community Trust. To mark
these milestones and bring the history up to date, former Griffin
resident Catherine Eades has written an account carrying on where the
first history left off in 1998. It recounts major changes in personnel,
buildings, and activities. It includes testimonials from former
students, which you can read in full in the 'People' section. Click on the left to read Catherine's history.
