So, you've
read all about what we do and you want to get involved. Your first
point of contact is the student chair of Griffin, find out who that is
and how to get in touch with them on the 'contact' page. If you are a
student at Bart's and The London Medical or Dental School and are
interested in applying to come and live at Griffin in the next academic
year, then you can download an application form below. The deadline for
applications is 10th March 2008.

Students
are more than welcome to get involved in Toynbee Hall. Every wednesday
afternoon during the academic year, students from Griffin are ably
assisted by other students from Barts and The London medical and dental
school in organising activities for the elderly participants in the
Toynbee Hall day centre. The centre is located very near Aldgate East
tube station.
Typical
events include bingo, arts and crafts, planting bulbs, reminiscing, and
quizzes. There is no commitment to come every week, you can attend as
often or as little as you like. If you're thinking of applying to live
in Griffin house then an active interest in Toynbee Hall is always
looked on favourably.
Getting involved in Toynbee Hall requires minimal effort but can be an
immensely rewarding experience. You can get to know the elderly local
residents that attend the day centre, there are usually ten to fifteen
of them for you to chat to. If you'd like to get involved or would just
like some more information about what we do at Toynbee hall then drop a
line to the Griffin chair. Click on the logo above to get to the Toynbee Hall website.
