Christmas Dinner 2007
Christmas time, mistletoe and wine.....
When
the weather gets cold and the nights start to draw in, Griffin students
and Shaftesbury residents alike start to look forward to their
Christmas dinner outing. This year we returned to a favourite haunt of
the residents; Dick Turpin's restaurant. Our plans to go there last
year were scuppered while refurbishments were taking place, now it
looked very smart with a new menu to boot. There was no turkey in sight
but everyone was more than happy with the fayre on offer.
The students organising the event had gone on ahead of the minibuses
bringing up the rear to arrange the tables and set out crackers and
decorations. The result was a festive triumph. After puddings and
coffees the minibuses were markedly more heavily laden than on the way
there. After such a successful trip there's no doubt that that the
Shaftesbury residents will have Dick Turpin's at the top of their list
for next year.
